 Our home and barn, now home to our Texas Bed and Breakfast, were the heart of Knolle Jersey Farms -
the "World's Largest Jersey Herd" of cattle
for three generations. Situated 20 miles west of Corpus
Christi in the lush Nueces River Valley of TX, our towering
oaks provided a backdrop for many years of Boy Scout jamborees
and our barn opened wide for bus loads of school children
who viewed the gentle Jersey being milked and fed.

| The years have changed, the children are grown and Texas
beef cattle now graze our pastures. But the spirit of
hospitality and the desire to share God's bounty has not
changed. Therefore, we continue to open our doors and
welcome you to share our genteel way of life in our country inn that is located in
the renovated barn and
cottage that were a part of
the original dairy headquarters. |
 Family
reunions, weddings, small
corporate groups and tours are our specialty, with facilities
to take care of your group, rain or shine. Our grounds,
beautiful chapel, picnic areas and waterfronts provide
the perfect setting for special occasions and our large
recreation room provides a back-up facility in case of
inclement weather. Of course, we also cater to small family
get-togethers, couples in need of a romantic weekend away,
and even those individuals wanting a few days of solitude. |
 We
have sleeping accommodations
for up to 20 people. Our renovated barn houses the Main
Guest House, with living room, dining room, and fully-equipped
kitchen, as well as 2 or 3 bedrooms and baths. Lodging
accommodations in the barn also include another "cozy"
room and bath for extra guests - we call this room the
"Doghouse."
Also housed in the main barn are seven stalls, a large
tack room, sitting area, upstairs library and deck. The
separate "Casita,"
on the other side of the homestead acreage, provides a
very private getaway in a charming tiny cottage, complete
with living and kitchen area and large back porch. Finally,
across the river, we have
the McGloin house, which offers
sleeping accommodations for 8, living, dining and kitchen
area and a private lake for your enjoyment. |

 Our newest addition is a beautiful pool, set gracefully into the sloping hill, just below the Main Barn. This unique, infinity pool flows gently over a waterfall into the wetland below. Huge boulders set in place form the steps, and a great stone patio surrounds it. Whether cooling off on a hot summer day, relaxing in the shade of the surrounding oaks or entertaining guests, this picturesque pool area is the perfect addition to this already perfect get-away.
Although our activities
are numerous and varied, we are not a dude ranch. Activities
are not planned and we are not with you at all times.
We believe that our guests come here for privacy and to
relax and get away from the structure of daily life. We
want you to think of this as your home away from home;
we share our facilities with you and you are welcome to
enjoy them in the way you would your own. We will make
sure you are comfortable and safe with any activities
and equipment, but we allow you your freedom. If lessons
are necessary we will need to charge a fee for these instructions.

 The
abundance of wildlife, in
addition to our beloved dogs, cats, horses,
and cattle, certainly makes us pet friendly. Our barn
houses 7 horse stalls and we have outside paddocks and
arenas as well, accommodating those who would like to
bring their own horses. Of course, hunting dogs are also
allowed, but guests are required to use a kennel to house
their dogs. Dogs and other small pets are not normally
allowed inside the guest cottages, but we do make exceptions
under certain circumstances (especially if the animals
are used for those with disabilities).
In an effort to simplify, and expand, the choices for our guests, we have added a number of "packages" for you to choose from when considering a visit here. Whether you desire a Romantic Night, Honeymoon package, "Spa Day", or "Gourmet Delight", with Cooking Class, (completed with an evening if fine dining), we promise an experience that will leave wonderful memories for years to come.
Our versatile staff is here to meet your every need, from providing great food to guiding a world class hunt, or other outdoor activity, or hosting the perfect wedding or corporate event.
